The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Khartoum is currently inviting eligible applicant for the position of "Secretary to the Ambassador." This is a full-time position and selected applicant will be expected to begin in April, 2021. 

Job Description: 

   Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Manage the Ambassador's schedule and programme appointments;

    • Priorities and deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence, e-mails and requests;

    • Determine the urgency of response required;

    • Coordinate conferences, meetings, and travel reservations;

    • Greet visitors and callers, handle inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate officer(s)/staff member(s) according to their needs;

    • Maintenance and update of contact/guest database for various events;

    • Other duties as required.



    • Bachelor degree (holder)

    • Extensive experience as a Secretary/Executive Assistant to an Executive/Ambassador or similar employment experience; 

    • Applicants must be legally qualified to work in Sudan; 

    • Fluency in English is required (speaking/writing); 

    • Ability to accomplish a wide range of administrative tasks; 

    • Superior office management and organizational skills; 

    • Competent IT skills; good working knowledge of applicable software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel; 

    • Excellent oral and written communication, and highly developed liaison and interpersonal skills; 

    • Ability to accomplish a wide range of administrative tasks; 

    • Ability to work under pressure with a good time management skill.
